Staff usernames and passwords are provided by the QAHE Quality team (Maddy Lee). Normally, the username is the QA email address, e.g. email@example.com.
For students, access details are emailed to their personal email address upon enrollment with the university. The username is their Solent student number.
The university uses the Shibboleth access management system (similar to OpenAthens). For students, access details are emailed to their personal email address upon enrollment with the university. Their single sign-on username is in the format: firstname.lastname@example.org. QAHE staff do not have access to the Solent library resources for now.

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
Trade publications are a valuable source of practitioners' experience and applied knowledge. They are different to scholarly publications. Some are available on open access: use Google or similar. For some paid-for publications, use the ProQuest Business & ProQuest Technology Collection databases.
Market data and research
Market research, data and statistics are often published (by governments, NGOs etc.) on open access - use Google or similar; see also Open access.
A lot of market research is behind a paywall. There is no single aggregator or tool to search for all market research. Use each electronic resource one by one, depending on your objectives. See the list and guidance.
Academic research is published in scholarly (or peer-revewed) journals, conference papers and monographs. The most commonly used tool for searching for academic research is Google Scholar. To see Solent subscriptions (alongside the open-access content): go to Settings - Library links - search for Solent - tick Solent University - Save.
