Office 365 and university email
Office 365 is a widely used suite of programmes and apps. It is also used as a login for various services and resources. It is free to students of most UK universities.
You have two Office 365 accounts:
from your university; use it for everything related to your study;
from QAHE; use it to access VLeBooks and QAHE Student Portal.

University Office 365
Download
If you do not have the university email address yet, download Office 365 and start using it with month-long trial access. Do not pay for Office 365.
Activate licence
As soon as your enrolment is completed, you will get the university email address and password for all university services. Use them to activate your free Office 365 licence by adding these details to the Office 365 account.
Install on your phone
Go to App Store (for iOS) or Google Play (for Android) and search for the apps you want, e.g. Word, Outlook, OneNote etc.
University email
To add your university email to your phone, either:
Download an Outlook app to receive your university email separately from your personal email (download for Apple or Android)
or add your university email account to the same app you use for all your personal emails:
iPhone: Settings - Passwords & Accounts - Add Account - Exchange - enter your university email address and add a description, e.g. Uni Email, then Next - Sign In - enter the password.

QAHE Office 365
Only use to access VLeBooks and QAHE Student Portal.
Username: qa followed by your student number, [qastudentNumber]@qahe365.onmicrosoft.com, e.g. qa10123456@qahe365.onmicrosoft.com.
Password:
Qa (case sensitive) followed by your date of birth, e.g. Qa31051997 if you started your course before October 2022.
The same password as for campus computers if you started your course in or after October 2022; see the email you received from noreply@qa.com.
