Why can’t I log into my session?

Firstly, please consult your timetable to ensure you are logging into the session at the scheduled time. You will not be able to join the session until at least 15 minutes before it is scheduled to commence.

Passwords are always case-sensitive (i.e. Monday, not monday).

Make sure you have a stable internet connection and that you are attending from home (using public Wi-Fi, such as at a library or café, may present problems as your access could be blocked).

Why is my access to the class restricted/canceled?

Your tutor may have removed you from the session inadvertently. In order to re-enter, your tutor will need to ‘Restore Access’. Please contact the Online Learning team if this occurs.

Why I can’t use some of the WebEx features (e.g. chat, whiteboard).

You should check with your tutor that you have been granted the privileges to use these.

Please also ensure your Mac is supported by WebEx (to check your version, you can select the Apple icon in the top left-hand corner of your screen).

Why can’t I hear myself, my classmates or my tutor?

Make sure your speaker and microphone are working properly. Also check that your tutor has unmuted all attendees since they are automatically muted upon entry. You will only be unmuted if the class requires this.
